A cleaner gutter funnel, printed in pieces.
A custom replacement for patched, corroded sheet metal. Designed in CAD, printed in sections, then assembled and sealed for the Dolans’ home.
The problem
The existing gutter funnel was made from corroded sheet metal that had been patched together. The Dolans wanted something that looked better.
The replacement needed a shape suited to the installation beneath the eaves and a connection to the downpipe. This was a practical use for a custom CAD design and a printed part made specifically for the space.
A large part, made in sections
The funnel was too large to make as one print. Printing separate sections made it possible to build the full-size part and assemble it afterwards.
